Getting Started with ColonyCore

Onboarding Your Team in 30 Minutes

Step-by-step guide to get your entire operation live.

1. Create your account: Request early access. Choose your plan (Starter, Professional, or Enterprise).
2. Add your company: Enter company name, location, contact info, and industry (construction, agriculture, real estate, etc.).
3. Set up your fleet: Add your drones (DJI M300, Mini 3 Pro, etc.) with serial numbers and current condition.
4. Invite your team: Add email addresses for pilots, dispatchers, and admin staff. Set their roles (Pilot, Dispatcher, Admin).
5. Create your first job: Click "+ New Job" ? Fill in client name, location, job type, and assigned pilot.
6. That's it! Your team can now log in and start using ColonyCore.

Create Your First Job

Jobs are the backbone of ColonyCore. Here's how to create one:

1. Click "+ New Job" on the dashboard
2. Fill in:
   • Client: Name or create new client
   • Location: Address for the job site
   • Job Type: Inspection, Survey, Mapping, Marketing, etc.
   • Pilot Assignment: Select which pilot will fly
   • Equipment: Which drones/batteries to use
   • Notes: Any special instructions
3. Save. Your pilot gets a notification and can check the job details from their mobile app.

Capture Your First Flight

Once a flight is completed, ColonyCore auto-captures flight data:

1. Pilot completes job and returns to base
2. Pilot uploads flight footage in the mobile app (tap "Upload Flight")
3. ColonyCore automatically logs:
   • Flight duration (taken from drone telemetry)
   • Altitude and distance covered
   • Weather conditions (if available)
   • Drone used (captured from SN)
   • Battery cycle count
4. Flight is marked "Complete" and linked to the job automatically

Understanding Team Roles

Pilot: Views assigned jobs, uploads flights, can message client.

Dispatcher: Creates jobs, assigns pilots, tracks status, handles scheduling.

Admin: Full access. Can create/manage clients, set pricing, view reports.

API Basics (Developers)

Get your API key from Settings → Integrations → API Keys.
