Create, schedule, assign, and track drone jobs from quote to payment.

Create Your First Job

  1. Click "+ New Job" on the dashboard
  2. Fill in job details:
    • Client Name: Create new or select existing
    • Job Type: Inspection, Survey, Mapping, Marketing, Real Estate, etc.
    • Location: Site address
    • Pilot Assignment: Select from available pilots
    • Equipment: Drones and batteries needed
    • Scheduled Date: When the job will happen
    • Notes: Any special requirements or instructions
  3. Save and click "Send to Pilot"
  4. Pilot receives notification on mobile app

Every job moves through these statuses:

Bulk Import Jobs from CSV

Import multiple jobs at once using a CSV file:

  1. Go to Jobs → Import
  2. Download the template CSV
  3. Fill in columns: Client, Job Type, Location, Pilot, Date, Price
  4. Upload and confirm mapping
  5. Colony Core creates the jobs in bulk from your import file

Job Pricing & Rate Cards

Set up pricing rules by job type:

  1. Go to Settings → Pricing
  2. Create a rate card:
    • Per-hour rate: $200/hour for inspections
    • Per-job flat rate: $500 for real estate photos
    • Per-acre pricing: $10/acre for agricultural mapping
  3. Colony Core can use linked job details, rates, and logged activity to support invoice totals
  4. Add markup for profit margin (e.g., 30% markup on equipment costs)

Pro Tips

  • Use job templates to save time creating similar jobs
  • Set buffer time between jobs (e.g., 30 min for travel)
  • Use pilot notes to capture weather, obstacles, client feedback
  • Link jobs to flights for cleaner compliance tracking
