Job Management

Create Your First Job

1. Click "+ New Job" on the dashboard
2. Fill in job details:
   • Client Name: Create new or select existing
   • Job Type: Inspection, Survey, Mapping, Marketing, Real Estate, etc.
   • Location: Site address
   • Pilot Assignment: Select from available pilots
   • Equipment: Drones and batteries needed
   • Scheduled Date: When the job will happen
   • Notes: Any special requirements or instructions
3. Save and click "Send to Pilot"
4. Pilot receives notification on mobile app

Advanced Scheduling

Use the visual calendar to manage multiple jobs and pilots:

• Drag-and-drop: Move jobs between dates and pilots
• Pilot conflicts: Flagged in the scheduler when a pilot is already assigned
• Color-coding: Different colors for job types (red=urgent, yellow=standard, green=complete)
• Recurring jobs: Set up jobs that repeat daily/weekly (e.g., daily site inspections)

Job Status Tracking

Every job moves through these statuses:

• Quote: Initial stage, waiting for client approval
• Scheduled: Client approved, pilot assigned
• In Progress: Pilot is flying the job
• Complete: Flight finished, data uploaded
• Invoiced: Invoice sent to client
• Paid: Payment received

Bulk Import Jobs from CSV

Import multiple jobs at once using a CSV file:

1. Go to Jobs → Import
2. Download the template CSV
3. Fill in columns: Client, Job Type, Location, Pilot, Date, Price
4. Upload and confirm mapping
5. Colony Core creates the jobs in bulk from your import file

Customer Portal & Communication

Clients can track job progress:

• Clients get a unique link to view their jobs
• They see shared status updates (Scheduled → In Progress → Complete)
• Pilots can send updates and photos via the app
• Clients get notified when deliverables are ready

Job Pricing & Rate Cards

Set up pricing rules by job type:

1. Go to Settings → Pricing
2. Create a rate card:
   • Per-hour rate: $200/hour for inspections
   • Per-job flat rate: $500 for real estate photos
   • Per-acre pricing: $10/acre for agricultural mapping
3. Colony Core can use linked job details, rates, and logged activity to support invoice totals
4. Add markup for profit margin (e.g., 30% markup on equipment costs)
